Tips and tricks on how to perform the neurological exam and confidently localise the lesion
Is it central or peripheral? Horner's syndrome or facial paralysis? Feeling confused or finding neurology daunting, and maybe suffering from symptoms of neurophobia? You are not alone!
This course helps put to rest your confusion on basic neuroanatomy and strengthens your confidence in localising the lesion by integrating small group case-based exercises. By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently interpret the neurological exam and recognise the most common neurological diseases seen in primary care.
In summary, this course will include:
Refresher on basic neuroanatomy
Tips and tricks on how to interpret the neuro exam
Practical sessions focused on accurately and confidently identifying the neuroanatomical localisation
Sequential approach to the most common differential diagnoses in primary care
Practical sessions on diagnostic procedures in primary care, including radiographs (how do I position and what do I look out for?) and CSF collection (when and how can I do it myself?)
