CPD Course Team

Nanette qualified from Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 1997. After she completed an internship at Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, she moved to the Northeast, where she worked in various small animal practices, developing an interest in emergency critical care.

She settled in Northumberland after marrying a local farmer and continued to develop her interest in ECC by working for various emergency out-of-hours practices around the area. In 2017, she joined a referral multidisciplinary small animal hospital as an emergency critical care practitioner and completed her certificate in emergency critical care shortly afterwards.

As well as a keen interest in critical care, she enjoys teaching and has taught veterinary nursing at Askham Bryan College, where she completed a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. Outside of work, she enjoys running, walking her three crazy Jack Russell terriers, or sleeping post-night shift with her five cats.
